What Is the Quranic Arabic Course?
This course is for Muslims who want to go beyond reciting the Quran and understand it. Translations are valuable, but they can't carry every layer of meaning in the original Arabic. Learning Quranic Arabic lets you hear that meaning for yourself, in Salah and whenever you read.
Taught by a qualified teacher, our Quranic Arabic classes cover Arabic grammar (Sarf, how words are built, and Nahw, how sentences work), Quranic vocabulary, reading Quranic verses with understanding, and basic Modern Standard Arabic.
Everything is explained in English. You only need to be able to read the Arabic script. If you can't read Arabic yet, start with Noorani Qaida first.

Sentence Structure in Arabic
Build simple and compound Arabic sentences. Learn the difference between nominal and verbal sentences, and how the Quran uses both types.
Reading and Understanding Quranic Verses
Apply your vocabulary and grammar knowledge to actual Quranic verses, reading, translating, and understanding them word by word.
Conversational Modern Standard Arabic
Basic conversational phrases, greetings, and everyday expressions in Modern Standard Arabic, useful for connecting with Arabic-speaking Muslims.
Reading Comprehension of Islamic Texts
Progress to reading short Islamic texts, Hadith, Du'a books, simple Islamic books, with understanding. Building toward independent reading of classical Islamic literature.

How Our Quranic Arabic Classes Work
Grammar-First, Then Application
Each section introduces a grammar concept in plain English, provides Arabic examples, then applies it immediately to Quranic verses, connecting theory to the Quran from the very first lesson.
Vocabulary in Order of Frequency
Quranic words are learned starting with the most common ones, with a few new words each week and regular review until they stick.
Quranic Text Analysis
Once sufficient grammar and vocabulary are acquired, classes shift to analyzing actual Quranic verses, identifying grammatical roles of each word and understanding the verse's full meaning.
Class Length
Classes are 30 or 60 minutes. Three classes a week is a good pace, and 20 to 30 minutes of review a day between classes makes a real difference.

Every grammar concept is explained in clear English first, with examples, before it is applied to Arabic and to the Quran.
