Learn to Read the Quran as an Adult
Many Muslim adults in America grew up with the Quran at home but never had proper lessons. Some learned to read a little and never finished. Others started overseas and lost touch after moving to the USA. Many are busy professionals and parents who have wanted to fix this for years.
This course is built for adults. Lessons move at your pace, without the games used with children, and your teacher explains the reason behind every rule in plain English. Questions are always welcome.
Classes are completely private, so you can make mistakes without anyone else listening. It is just you, a qualified teacher, and a clear plan from your first letter to reading the Quran with confidence.

How Adults Learn to Read the Quran
Every adult starts at a different point. Your teacher places you at the right step in the free class, so you never repeat what you already know.
- 01
Free level check
In the 30-minute trial your teacher listens to you read, or starts with the letters if you are new, and recommends where to begin.
- 02
Noorani Qaida
The Arabic letters, their sounds, the vowel marks and joining letters into words. Adults who can't read Arabic yet start here.
About Noorani Qaida → - 03
Reading the Quran
You read from the Quran itself, slowly at first and then more smoothly, with your teacher correcting each mistake as it happens.
- 04
Tajweed
The rules of correct recitation, practiced on real verses, so you can recite in Salah and in Ramadan with confidence.

What You Will Learn
Reading the Quran from Scratch or Fixing Weak Reading
If you have never read an Arabic letter, or you read with many mistakes, your teacher checks your level and builds a plan from there.
Tajweed Rules and Correct Pronunciation
Learn the rules of correct recitation, from Makharij (where each letter is pronounced) to Madd, Idgham and Ikhfa, applied to real verses from the start.
Common Duas and Their Meaning
The duas you say every day, morning and evening Adhkar, before eating and sleeping, with their meanings so they become heartfelt rather than memorized sounds.
Reciting Salah Correctly
Recite Surah Al-Fatiha and the tashahhud with correct pronunciation, and understand what you are saying in every rakah.
Selected Surahs with Translation
Commonly recited passages such as Ayat ul Kursi, Al-Mulk, Ar-Rahman and Ya-Sin, with word-by-word translation so you know what you are reciting.
Basic Quranic Vocabulary
The most frequent words in the Quran, so you start to recognize familiar words and phrases as you recite.
Reciting with Confidence
Recite in Salah, at family gatherings and during Ramadan without worrying about your pronunciation.
Reflecting on What You Read
Approach the Quran as a message addressed to you, not only a text to recite, and build a lasting habit of reading it.

Classes Built Around Adult Life
Your Level, Checked First
The free 30-minute class starts with your teacher hearing where you are. You get a plan that skips what you already know.
No Judgment
Making mistakes out loud is how everyone learns to read. Your teacher corrects gently, repeats as often as you need, and never rushes you.
Your Days and Times
Tell us the days and times that suit you, including early mornings, evenings and weekends, and we arrange a teacher who is free then. Cancel or move a class at least 4 hours before it starts and it is made up, not lost.
Class Length
Classes are 30 or 60 minutes. Two classes a week with around 15 minutes of daily practice is a good start. Three a week builds momentum faster.
The Same Teacher
Usually the same teacher continues after the trial, so they learn how you read and where you need help. If your teacher can't make a class, another teacher takes it or a makeup class is arranged.
Progress Updates
Ask for an update at any time: what you have covered, what you have mastered, and an honest view of what needs more work.
